  2. How to use
    3. ・ Set the KENDRAFT on the hull near the center draft mark and descend towards the water surface.
    After landing, the water rises through a water tube approximately 5 meters long and stops at the water surface
    inside the pipe.
    Read the draft mark located at the center of the float on the water surface by looking at it in a mirror.
    ・ It can only be used to read the draft marks at port & starboard sides in the center of the hull. The bow and stern are visually read as usual. For draft surveys, the center draft mark readings account for 75 % of the corrected mean draft. Meanwhile, the readings of the bow and stern draft marks each account for 12.5 % of the corrected mean draft. Therefore, accurately reading the center draft marks will greatly improve the accuracy of the corrected mean draft.

    4. @ Ocean winds and waves change depending on the time and place. Furthermore, rough seas can cause large fluctuations in the waterline, making it difficult to read the draft mark accurately. Even in these conditions, KENDRAFT allows you to get accurate draft readings as fluctuations due to wind waves and swell are eliminated.
    A Visual readings depend on individual physical and mental characteristics. Also, the way you read draft marks consciously change depending on your own interests. The various personal reading styles mentioned above are collectively referred to here as individual differences. With KENDRAFT, individual differences are eliminated, allowing anyone to get accurate draft readings.
    B Parallax changes depending on the berth conditions, and the change in parallax changes the visual image of the target's draft mark, resulting in a difference in draft reading. Even in the condition, KENDRAFT allows you to get accurate draft readings as fluctuation due to parallax is eliminated.
