  3. How to use
  4. @ Set the KENDRAFT on the hull near the center draft mark and descend towards the water surface.
After landing, the water rises through a water tube approximately 5 meters long and stops at the water surface
    inside the pipe.
Read the draft mark located at the center of the float on the water surface with a mirror.
A If you attach a waterproof light to the mirror at night, you can see draft marks just as clearly as during the day.
B It can only be used to read the draft marks at port & starboard sides in the center of the hull. The bow and stern are visually read as usual. For draft surveys, the center draft mark readings account for 75 % of the average draft reading. Therefore, it is more important to read the center draft marks correctly.
On the other hand, the readings of the bow and stern draft marks each account for 12.5 %.

The same reading could be obtained regardless of who takes the reading, eliminating personal errors.
Even if there is a large step between the berth and the water surface, the center draft mark can be accurately read from the deck without parallax.
